About OxMAT

Oxfordshire Music and Arts Trust (OxMAT) was formed in 2014 (as The 7Cs Foundation) and mostly serves the West Oxfordshire area. The charity is run by a team of voluntary trustees. Our funds come solely from grants and donations.

We aim to advance the art of music and the arts by extending provision of (predominantly, but not exclusively) musical activities to all and any age groups that would benefit. We believe in music for all, but make special effort to engage those who are underprivileged, excluded or vulnerable.

FUNDING

Providing access to funding towards instrument lessons on-line, at home and in rehearsal rooms. We believe passionately that everyone should have access to quality affordable music tuition

REHERSAL

Providing access to rehearsal rooms and performance spaces and opportunities. We currently have arrangements with 2 rehearsal rooms in Witney, West Oxfordshire

RECORDING

Providing opportunities to stream and record performances. Enabling the showcase of local talent

EQUIPMENT

Lending equipment (amplifiers, PAs, Drums etc) for community fetes and festivals so that local artists can perform

Many people we support have special educational needs, dementia, are from low income families, are child carers, refugees or are children in care.

Our mission

We seek to extend access to those who are excluded due to rural location, physical or social barriers. We support those who come from economically deprived areas or whose families are on benefits as well as supporting adult learners who are in receipt of benefits.
